EASE has prepared a comprehensive overview of the elected MEPs, highlighting those who may be inclined to engage in discussions on energy storage. While the exact composition of the parliamentary committees will not be known until September 2024, EASE has flagged the returning members of the outgoing European Parliament’s Committee on Industry, Research and Energy (ITRE) and Committee on Environment, Public Health and Food Safety (ENVI) in the hope that they might resume their roles in the new parliamentary cycle. EASE has also identified newly elected MEPs with relevant experience or a particular interest in renewable energy.
