Workshop: ‘Innovative energy storage business models: creating the right market & regulatory context’

EASE is glad to support and contribute to the workshop on ‘Innovative energy storage business models: creating the right market & regulatory context’ organised by the Horizon 2020-funded project “STORY: added value of STORage in distribution sYstems,” taking place on 7 December 2016 in Brussels, Belgium.

EASE, represented by Hugh Logue of Gaelectric, is a member of the STORY Advisory Board. STORY’s aim is to demonstrate new energy storage technologies and their benefits in distribution systems.

The workshop will be highly interactive and will focus on:

  • Presenting STORY’s preliminary analysis on the state of play on innovative energy storage business models (commercial and residential) at the distribution grid level
  • Exchanging ideas on the validity of these business models, critical obstacles and points of contention
  • Identifying the support mechanisms and other measures (market, policy & regulatory) needed to enable and roll-out these business models in Europe, producing concrete recommendations.
